Petrol Planner — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This is a plain-language summary written by the app's developer, not a law firm — it's not a substitute for proper legal advice, just an honest description of the terms you're agreeing to by using Petrol Planner.

By downloading or using Petrol Planner ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. See also our Privacy Policy, which covers what data we collect and why.

What the app does

Petrol Planner helps you find nearby fuel stations, compare prices, and plan routes with fuel stops. Prices come from the GOV.UK Fuel Finder feed and from other users' own reports — we don't independently verify either, and prices can be out of date or wrong by the time you arrive. Always treat in-app prices as an estimate, not a guarantee.

Accounts

You can use the app with an email/password account or by signing in with Google or Apple. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your account and every car, address, favourite, and setting saved to it.

Acceptable use

Don't use the app to scrape or bulk-extract data, attempt to disrupt or overload our servers, submit deliberately false price reports, or reverse engineer the app beyond what's permitted by law. We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service.

Community price reports

If you submit a fuel price, you're confirming it's accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time. By submitting it, you give us permission to store and show it to other users of the app, as described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any price, distance, route, or MOT/vehicle data shown is accurate or current. Don't rely on the app as your sole source for anything safety-critical (e.g. how much fuel you actually have left).

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate prices, routing, or vehicle data, or from the app being unavailable. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited (e.g. for fraud).

Changes

We may update the app or these terms from time to time. If this page changes, the "last updated" date above will change too. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
